It is Much More.
UPDATE: 5/27/23
I'm feeling the need to help you guys (the players) understand the creation and development of this game.
About five years ago I told my wife that I remember Magic: the Gathering being a fun game. A game that brought people together and helped them to think critically and strategically about decisions. So, we buy a couple starter decks, open them up to play, then realized how misleading the game was from our relationship with Christ. I was enthusiastic to play and so saddened to realize how many evil concepts were in the game and how each of them could create idolatry to degree and a fascination with those concepts. So, it was from there that I took guidance from the Lord to create this game, Victory 7!
My belief is that through prayer and a desire to serve the Lord, that He is the One truly creating this game, while I serve Him in the design, production, etc.
So now, through the development, I have been able to learn much about the Bible (firstly, the Book of Genesis) to make a game that helps each of us understand our personal traits and how they can allow us to shine or diminish from the Lord.
The win status of this game is to brighten your Lamp first using the good in the Bible, while darkening or other obstacles occur via the evil within. All card costs being produced with "Trait Tokens" - which are, the traits we have that can be understood in the Armor of God which God through Paul has shown us in the Book of Ephesians.
The Armor & their traits:
Breastplate: Righteouness vs Corruption
Shield: Faith vs Doubt
Belt: Truth vs Deceit
Sandals: Peace vs Hostility
Helmet: Salvation vs Destruction
Sword: Spirit vs Carnality (or Flesh)
So, it is that, through this game we may better understand how effective these traits can be and are. With that, there is much more to this game, like understanding who and what actually takes place in the Bible, along with a building sense of which characters are in alignment with each other regarding context and timing. It's somewhat subtle, but I am learning it is all becoming useful and not overly complicated or confusing - the game more so is not a game, but a fun way to learn scripture, have fellowship, introduce others to the Bible, and all without even really acknowledging or purposefully thinking of how to do each of those.
Anyway, I hope that you all visualize the case the same, have much fun, and do so much for the Lord, together.
God Bless,
Ian Ferrari
